LOS ANGELES, CA – Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Hilda L. Solis, Supervisor to the First District, released the following statement in response to statements made by outgoing President Donald Trump for amendments to the omnibus spending plan that was approved by Congress last night:

“Although I disagree with several of the comments made by outgoing President Trump, and more detail is needed on what he intended, I support his call to increase the stimulus checks for struggling residents from $600 to $2,000. In Los Angeles County, $600 does not go very far to help with rent and other necessities.”
