Food Programs at SGVSC

Wednesdays: Emergency Food Assistance Program (Food Pantry Program) between 8:30am and 10:30am

Provides food to low-income families, individuals and seniors. Eligibility is not required to access this program. The pantry distribution operates Wednesdays between 8:30am and 10:30am and upon request in an emergency.

Fridays: 5 Bread 2 Fish  between 2pm – 4:30pm (or until all food is disbursed)

Requirements/Restrictions: only one person per household can receive food.

Food giveaway available to everyone in the community regardless of age, income or city they live in. Only one person per household can receive food. Individuals must bring their own reusable bag for the food they receive. Typically food distributed should be consumed within the next few days after received. They provide a range of food varying from produce to prepared food such as salads and even flowers. 5 Bread 2 Fish staff and volunteers coordinate the food giveaway. 4th Monday of every month: Commodity Supplemental Food Program (Senior Food Distribution) between 9am – 11am

Requirements/Restrictions: Must be 60 years old or older, must meet the monthly income guidelines, bring picture ID with date of birth and proof of income.

Los Angeles Regional Food Bank reviews new applicants for eligibility and determines on-going eligibility for returning clients. If eligible, individuals will receive two bags of nutritious food on the 4th Monday of every month. Click here to view flyer in English, Chinese, and Spanish.
