LOS ANGELES, CA – Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis released the following statement after her motion was approved to negotiate a Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with the Laborers’ International Union (LIUNA) of North America Local 777 for a one-time non-pensionable payment of $1,000 and a three-year Cost of Living Adjustment to 233 of their represented employees that work for the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA).

“I am committed to our LA County workforce – the very people who continue to serve our most vulnerable residents,” said Supervisor Solis. “This motion serves as a testament to providing our backbone with increased wages that are commensurate with the incredible amount of work they take on. “

The proposed cost-of-living increases for LACDA employees are comparable to current compensation increases for LA County employees. The COLA will be funded with program and administrative funds included in the LACDA’s approved Fiscal Year 2022-2023 budget and future budgets.
