Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis released the following statement after the Board of Supervisors approved a cooperative agreement with the City of Pomona to allow the City to lead design and construction of a pavement rehabilitation project of 0.75 miles of roadway along Towne Avenue from Foothill Blvd to Bonita Ave, with $311,480 from LA County’s SB1 funds:
“In our efforts to maintain and beautify our neighborhoods, it is crucial that we ensure accessibility for all residents. LA County looks forward to working with the City of Pomona on this important project, which will modify curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements and will repair the pavement, sidewalk, curb, and gutters. Once the project is completed in November 2019, all of our residents will greatly benefit from this improved roadway.”
