Board motion highlights 104th LA County Fair and longstanding regional tradition.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors today approved a motion authored by Board Chair and First District Supervisor Hilda L. Solis proclaiming May 7-31 as “LA County Fair Days.”

The motion recognizes the 104th annual LA County Fair and celebrates its longstanding role in bringing communities together through arts, culture, entertainment, agriculture and family-friendly experiences.

Kicking off today, this year’s fair runs through May 31 under the theme “Play Your Way,” highlighting creativity through visual arts, music, culinary innovation and live performances.

“For more than a century, the LA County Fair has brought generations of families together to celebrate the diversity, creativity and spirit of our region,” said Board Chair Solis. “From agricultural traditions to live entertainment and cultural experiences, the fair continues to create opportunities for people to connect, learn and make lasting memories. I encourage all residents to take part in this cherished tradition and support the many exhibitors, artists, and workers who make it possible.”

The motion also encourages County departments to share information about the 20th Annual LA County Day at the Fair on Saturday, May 9, which includes reduced admission for attendees.

LA County Day at the Fair provides County employees an opportunity to engage with exhibits, connect with county resources and celebrate the communities they serve.

The LA County Fair, one of the nation’s largest and longest-running fairs, continues to serve as a gathering place for residents and visitors alike, featuring carnival rides, concerts, culinary showcases, agricultural exhibits and interactive attractions for all ages.
