Solis Recognized at 18th Annual LAPD Hollenbeck Police Activities League Gala
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Pro Tem and First District Supervisor Hilda L. Solis was honored yesterday evening with the LAPD Hollenbeck Police Activities League (HPAL) Leadership Award during the 18th Annual HPAL Awards Gala held at the Taglyan Complex.
Upon receiving the award, Chair Pro Tem Solis issued the following statement:
“I am deeply honored to receive the 2025 LAPD HPAL Leadership Award. Throughout my years in public service, I’ve seen firsthand the power of strong partnerships — and HPAL exemplifies the very best of what community and law enforcement can accomplish together. By offering mentorship, opportunity, and hope to our youth, we are investing in a stronger, more resilient Los Angeles for generations to come.”
Chair Pro Tem Solis was recognized for her enduring commitment to public service and community empowerment. The gala also celebrated other local leaders dedicated to uplifting the community.
Proceeds from the event will benefit HPAL’s youth programs, which focus on leadership development, athletics, and restorative justice, providing positive opportunities for young people across Los Angeles.
